TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Office of Governor Ron DeSantis announced in a press conference on Friday that Florida will receive $28 million in new funding to strengthen immigration enforcement partnerships under the 287(g) program.

The announcement came during a press conference at the Florida Sheriff’s Association Headquarters, where ICE Deputy Director Madison Sheahan joined Governor Ron DeSantis, Attorney General James Uthmeier, Florida Highway Patrol Director Dave Kerner, and St. Johns County Sheriff Robert Hardwick.
