“I started off so-so the first week, week and a half, and then I got pretty hot and just stayed hot the rest of the year,” he said. “I was pretty happy with that.” Article content Article content
The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers second baseman won the batting title this season with a .422 average. He was so masterful at the plate, he sometimes had two hits in a game and watched his average fall.
“It’s kind of a weird feeling, but you can’t complain about that because you put yourself in a position to do that,” Morrison said. “I remember one of the last games I went 2-for-5 and my average went down, which is kind of wild.”
