ICE Agent Suspended After Viral Video Showed Him Shoving a Detainee’s Wife to the Ground

An ICE agent captured on viral video shoving a detainee’s screaming wife and knocking her to the ground has been suspended .

The Department of Homeland Security called the incident, which occurred at an immigration court building in Manhattan, “unacceptable.”

According to , Monica Elizabeth Moreta and her children were at 26 Federal Plaza with her husband, who had just attended an immigration hearing. The husband is seen standing with his family when ICE agents tell him he’s being detained. He was told to let go of his daughter’s hand but refused before the scene descended into chaos.
