KETTLEMAN CITY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Many Valley residents drive through Kettleman City to get to the Central Coast and if you've been that way before, there's a good chance you found yourself stuck in traffic with people stopping at nearby restaurants and gas stations.

Caltrans has proposed a solution to build a dual-lane roundabout at the intersection of Highway 41 and Bernard Drive to help ease traffic.

The road would extend Dana Circle to the intersection of Highway 41 and Hubert Way.

It would also provide a permanent right-turn connection to and from northbound 41.

According to Caltrans, construction is set to begin in April of next year and should be complete by March 2027.
