Before she went missing, Lene Lovich was one of new wave’s most exotic figures. With a sound and look that combined futurist cool with cabaret glamor, she set the stage for adventurous types like Amanda Palmer (who is a fan) and even Chappell Roan.

But before she joined the current B-52’s and Devo tour (which hits Xfinity Center on Thursday) she hadn’t played in America for three decades.
