MONTCALM COUNTY, Michigan — After false bomb threats were made to both Tri County High School and Community First Credit Union in Montcalm County on Wednesday, the sheriff's office says they have a suspect in custody.
24-year-old Nathen Beemer was arrested and charged with two counts of False Report of a Bomb and one count of Malicious Use of a Telecommunications Device.
Beemer was arraigned in court and is being held on a $75,000 bond.
The first of the threats on Wednesday was made to the credit union. In response, Community First Federal Credit Union CEO Timothy G. Rasmussen closed all of their buildings and evacuated all staff.
While authorities investigated the threat to the credit union, another threat was reported. The second threat was to Tri County High School.
