BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- The family of a Southern University student who died in a hazing incident in Baton Rouge filed a lawsuit against Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., on Friday.
The civil lawsuit was filed in the 19th Judicial District Court. Judge Tiffany Foxworth-Roberts was assigned to the case.
Wilson died at the age of 20 in a hazing incident off Southern's campus in February. He was reportedly punched in the chest four times while in an unsanctioned pledging ritual at a warehouse.
Police arrested Caleb McCray, Kyle Thurman and Isaiah Smith in connection with Wilson's death. Omega Psi Phi expelled all three from the fraternity after they were taken into custody.
