AUSTIN, Texas — A water main break has impacted roads in northwest Austin this weekend.

According to officials with Austin Water, crews have responded to a water main break in the area of 3400 Hancock Drive.

Officials said the intersection of Balcones Drive and Hancock Drive is currently closed as crews work to repair the break.

Crews have pinpointed the break location and excavated and pumped out the site to expose the break and placed proper safety shoring.

The water break is not impacting Austin Water customers at this time.

Repairs are expected to be completed by Monday morning.

Officials recommend drivers and pedestrians to use alternate routes.
