ESPN’s “College GameDay” is in town ahead of Penn State ’s high-profile game against Oregon on Saturday night. ESPN’s Pat McAfee set up his Friday live show from the Lasch Building and had several guests, including a legendary colleague, on to discuss the White Out.

Nick Saban, the seven-time national champion and retired Alabama coach, was asked what it’s like to play on the road in an atmosphere as loud and intimidating as the White Out.

“Well, you know we played in a White Out here,” Saban said with a smile, “and it didn’t help them much.”

Penn State fans will remember when Saban and the Crimson Tide came to Happy Valley in 2011. Alabama, ranked No. 3 in the country, defeated Joe Paterno’s No. 23 Penn State handily.
