NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) - Humberto continues to strengthen as it becomes a powerful category 3 hurricane on Friday afternoon.

Hurricane Humberto is about 430-miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands with maximum sustained winds of 115-mph and hurricane-force winds that extend outward up to 25-miles from the center along with tropical-storm-force winds extending outward up to 105-miles.
