As for this other spot in the Atlantic that we are keeping an eye on, but has may folks in the Carolinas concerned:
According to the National Hurricane Center, "satellite data and surface observations indicate that a low pressure system appears to be forming near eastern Cuba and the southeastern Bahamas" and "the system is producing a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms, and gusty winds."
The NHC forecasts that there will be gradual development of this system with the expectation of it becoming a tropical depression
