‘The Great Art Heist’ kicks off on Oct. 3

Dare Arts’ main fundraiser to feature work of about 100 local artists

The opening night of Dare Arts’ Annual fundraiser, “The Great Art Heist: A Benefit Auction,” will be on Friday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Dare Arts Courtroom Gallery in Manteo, with the bidding opening in both the courthouse gallery and online at 6 p.m. and closing at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23.

The auction is Dare Arts’ primary annual fundraising event, with proceeds going to support everything the organization does, from programming to keeping the gallery running. The auction will showcase works from roughly 100 local and regional visual artists, including Noah Snyder, Marsha Klein, Gail Midgett, James Melvin, Rick Tupper and Merv Rubian
