CIHCOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - More information on a story Western Mass News has been following all week, Alberto Torres, the man arrested during a drug bust in Chicopee was arraigned on Friday.

Alberto Torres was ordered to be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. Chicopee Police, along with the FBI, had been investigating the distribution of illegal narcotics, and took Torres into custody Wednesday.

He’s also the suspect connected to last summer’s shooting of a Springfield Police Officer. Torres is due back for that hearing on October 2nd.
