SAN JOSE – The San Jose Sharks have taken down one of their new banners inside SAP Center that had the wrong season in which the team won the Presidents’ Trophy.

The public first noticed the error on Sunday when the Sharks opened the preseason with a home game against the Vegas Golden Knights. During the game, Sharks president Jonathan Becher said on his X account that the mistake was due to a “printer error” and a replacement banner has been ordered.
A new banner could be in place by next week, a Sharks spokesperson said, although the specific date is unknown.
The Sharks host the Golden Knights in their second preseason game on Friday, play their third and final preseason home game on Oct. 1 against the Anaheim Ducks, then begin the regular season on Oct. 9 at home ag
