Fairview Pharmacy Services is relocating to a larger facility in Shoreview, Minn., to expand operations to meet rising demand for pharmacy services.  The move comes amid a national increase in prescription drug use and a growing number of pharmacy closures, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.

The new facility will include automated dispensing systems, expanded mail-order capabilities, additional space for infusion treatments and enhanced cold-chain storage for sensitive medications.  Fairview operates 26 retail pharmacies and serves more than 18,000 specialty and home infusion patients, the release said.  Fairview Pharmacy services is a subsidiary of Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services.
