An injured Northern York County Regional Police officer who was ambushed with five colleagues in North Codorus Township last week was released from the hospital Friday.

WellSpan York Hospital announced the release around 3:20 p.m. The officer’s name was not included. He was allowed to attend his fallen colleagues’ funeral on Thursday with medical assistance since he wasn’t ready to be discharged on Thursday.

Lt. David Godfrey , a 24-year veteran of the York County Sheriff’s Office, who oversees the department’s K-9 unit, was also injured in the shooting. He remains at WellSpan York Hospital in “satisfactory” condition, officials said.

Three Northern York County Regional Police officers , Sgt. Cody Becker, Det. Isaiah Emenheiser and Det. Mark Baker, were killed in the shooting.
