One Evansville , Indiana , elementary school was evacuated this morning after a carbon monoxide alarm sounded inside the building.

Alarm Prompts Swift Evacuation of Scott Elementary

According to the Vanderburgh County Fire Department , crews were dispatched on September 26, 2025, to Scott Elementary School just after 10 am. A second alarm from a pull station was also reported shortly after the initial call. Firefighters from Stations 1 and 3 arrived within minutes to find the school already in the process of a calm, orderly evacuation of both students and staff.
