LIPSCOMB, Ala. —
Three teens whose arrests in Lipscomb led to allegations of excessive force last month are facing more trouble after police say they were part of more than a dozen young people involved in a fight in the same neighborhood on Thursday.
On Friday, the Lipscomb Police Department said it was made aware of a large fight in the Woodward Estates neighborhood on Sept. 25. Police Chief Jatavius Merritt shared a video with WVTM 13 that shows two people fighting before several others join in.
Police said some of the teens appear to be the same individuals involved in several fights, as well as an alleged shooting, in the last days of August. This led to a confrontation between officers and a group of people, ending in the arrests of three teens aged 14, 18, and 19.
