Hotel Rose opens in downtown Rockford to sold

ROCKFORD, Mich. (WOOD) — After years of planning and 15 months of construction, Hotel Rose officially opened in downtown Rockford Friday.

Project and city leaders gathered Friday afternoon for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the hotel's opening at 12 Main Street near Bridge Street. It's already sold out for its first weekend, Wheeler Development Group says.

"We are as busy as we hope to be," Jason Wheeler with WDG said. "We're full tonight.
