TAYLOR COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - One year after Hurricane Helene’s landfall in Taylor County, the scars from the storm’s destructive path are still visible.
While boats, homes and campers sit among the debris, Taylor County Emergency Management Director Danny Glover said they are still working to help residents and clean up.
“It’s really good to see some of those that have lost everything but have not given up hope,” Glover said. “They’re fighting for everything they can get and to see them working so hard and to see their home getting built back it just touches your heart.”
