INDIANAPOLIS — Caitlin Clark is becoming a Hall of Famer on Friday night, but she won't be there to witness it.

Dowling Catholic High School , Clark's alma mater in West Des Moines, Iowa, announced she was part of the 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame class. The induction ceremony was planned for 6:15 p.m. CT ahead of Dowling Catholic's homecoming football game, where she and six others would be inducted.

It would not have been a problem for her to attend if the Fever were knocked out of the WNBA playoffs in the first round. Now that Indiana has made the WNBA Playoff semifinals, however, Game 3 against the Las Vegas Aces is at Gainbridge Fieldhouse 15 minutes later. And Clark chose to be with the Fever .
