Members of the Bangladeshi diaspora assembled outside the United Nations headquarters in New York on Friday, staging a protest against Muhammad Yunus, the interim Chief Adviser of Bangladesh. Protesters accused Yunus of overseeing a sharp increase in atrocities against minorities, particularly since taking office after the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2024.

"Yunus is Pakistani. Go back to Pakistan," demonstrators shouted as they gathered, reflecting the intensity of anger among Hasina’s supporters and the diaspora community.
