SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A Savannah-based tech company is playing a key role in Atlanta’s World Cup preparations by joining a new alliance to expand secure fiber services across Georgia.
Seimitsu , a technology and cybersecurity company, is forming SouthernWaves along with Southern Telecom. The collaboration is aimed at bringing high-speed internet to communities across Georgia, with network monitoring based in Savannah.
“We are lighting the secure, protected fiber that the power company has been putting in the ground for years,” Seimitsu COO Keith Fletcher said. “So now we can carry large bandwidth from other carriers and enterprises from here in Savannah, out to Atlanta or Jacksonville to provide more reliable and secure service.”
