INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever battled back from a double-digit deficit before halftime, but the Las Vegas Aces were too much down the stretch with an 84-72 win, taking a 2-1 lead in the WNBA semifinals.
The Aces jumped out to a quick start in Game 3 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, leading by as many as 10 points before Indiana rallied. The Aces led 35-34 at halftime.
Las Vegas led by nine with 4:26 remaining in the half before the Fever closed the second quarter on a 13-5 run.
Game 4 of the best-of-five series is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday in Indianapolis, with Game 5 returning to Las Vegas, if the Fever get the victory.
