GAGE COUNTY, Neb. (KSNB) - The Gage County Sheriff’s Office was called to a water rescue near the Big Indian recreation Area on Friday.
Southeast Communications received a 911 call about a man in the lake who was in trouble and yelling at 4:25 p.m.
Deputies requested the assistance of Wymore Fire and Rescue and the Odell Quick Response Force.
The Wymore Fire chief called two person he knew who were boating at the lake and they were able to steer their watercraft to the area and rescued a man, and helped a second man who had swam out to save the other.
Both men were treated and releases by EMTs from Odell Volunteer Fire and Rescue .
