WAVERLY, NY (WENY) -- Every year, Waverly students in the Winners Circle Project Program build a car, but due to budget constraints, that's not happening. To help keep the program going, kids are raffling off a 1935 Hot Rod Pick-up Truck.
"T herefore, we came up with an idea to try to find a vehicle that our kids could still work on, and instead of building a new one from scratch as a kit, we have students who are actually restoring a vintage 1961 MG. Now, to fund that program, we are raffling off one of our vehicles, our students built a few years ago," said Rich McIntosh, the director of athletics, transportation, physical education, and health at Waverly CSD.
The hot rod has:
- 400 Horsepower
- HEI ignition
- 650 cam carburetor
- Fully adjustable coil-over shocks
- Electric wi
