MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are searching for suspects responsible for breaking into a restaurant early Wednesday morning with red bolt cutters, which police found left behind.
Police were called to a burglary at La Palapa in the 5200 block of Summer Ave. around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24. Officers were told that two suspects broke in by using red bolt cutters to break the window.
Surveillance video released by police show the suspects taking a cash register.
Police say the cash register was valued at $1,300, and contained approximately $300. The suspects fled the scene on foot out the back door.
The red bolt cutters were left behind and tagged into property and evidence.
