If you've visited the Electric Works campus this month, you might have noticed some artists at work.
The once barren concrete facade of the Union Parking Garage has received a facelift in the way of a vibrant mural spanning 15,000 square feet of the structure.
Australian artist Damien Mitchell was commissioned for the $100,000 project and has been working with three local apprentices. He also hosted an artist talk with the community and spent time with students from the Fort Wayne Community Schools Amp Lab, which is based on the former General Electric campus.
The mural was dedicated Wednesday, but work on the project is still underway. Titled "Echoes of the Future," it is expected to be complete in early October.
