Early Friday afternoon, Sunrise Mountain football announced that its home game against Flagstaff Coconino has been moved 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 because of the weather conditions today. Also, the Arizona Interscholastic Association website now lists a date change for Poston Butte at Peoria High School. Kickoff will be 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at Peoria High. It’s worth noting that this both of these schools are among the few that have grass in the West Valley. Kellis High School, the third Peoria Unified School District team with a grass field and a home game tonight, is playing Desert Mountain at 7 p.m. as scheduled.
