The Millcreek Township Police Department responded on the evening of Sept. 25 to reports of a suspicious man carrying what appeared to be an AR-style rifle near Summit Plaza, 5001 Peach St.

At 9:25 p.m., police released a statement urging residents to stay away from the area and, if nearby, to remain indoors. By 11:03 p.m., they announced that SWAT teams were leaving and the public could resume normal activities.
