CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Independence police responded Friday to rumors and questions regarding the department’s response to the double-murder suicide that happened Monday night.

The Independence Police Department explained in a news release that all officers responding to the incident followed the correct procedures despite resistance online.

“It has been brought to my attention that there has been some inaccurate information being put out on social media and through other outlets as to the Independence Police Department’s response to both the tragic murder on 9/22 of Heaven Glisson and Daylon Bradford and the preceding Emotional Crisis call on 9/19,” Chief Brian Ferayorni said in a statement.
