KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - Two people are facing drug charges after Kinston police say they found large amounts of marijuana during a traffic stop and home search on Friday.
Golontae Brock, 26, and Tyjuana Rufus, 29, were both charged today.
Police say they conducted a traffic stop and detected indicators of narcotics activity, which prompted a search of the car, revealing around 12 pounds of marijuana.
Brock, the driver, was charged with the following:
Two counts of trafficking marijuana
Possession of firearm by felon
Possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana
Possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana within 1,000 feet of a daycare
Two counts of felony possession of marijuana
Maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances
Maintaining a dwelling for controlled sub
