Two wildfires near Wenatchee have prompted evacuation orders and road closures along the Highway 2 corridor.

Labor Mountain fire

The Labor Mountain fire, 10 miles north of Cle Elum, is about 39 square miles and 7% contained as of Friday. About 350 residences are threatened by the fire. The fire was burning in Kittitas County and is now in Chelan County.

There have been several evacuation orders in Chelan County. Under Level 1, residents should stay alert and be aware of the fire. Under Level 2, residents are threatened and should be ready to flee. Under Level 3, residents must evacuate the area immediately.
