Mick Schumacher will be testing an Indycar for the first time on 13 October with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. Taking on the Indianapolis road course, the session will allow the German to sound out the car alongside his World Endurance Championship commitments with Alpine.
Schumacher managed to stay sharp behind the wheel thanks to his place in the Mercedes Formula 1 team as a reserve driver before driving for the French brand. But he's also linked to the likes of McLaren's 2027 hypercar project.
For the driver, this is an opportunity to explore a future in the United States' largest open-wheeled racing series.
