Bhubaneswar : The depression over the northwest Bay of Bengal has moved nearly westwards at a speed of 10 kmph over the past six hours. It is currently situated approximately 60 km southwest of Puri, 70 km east of Gopalpur, 180 km northeast of Kalingapatnam, and 190 km southeast of Phulbani, informed the India Meteorological Department.

The IMD has forecast that the depression is likely to continue moving nearly westwards and cross the South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts between Puri and Kalingapatnam, close to Gopalpur, by September 27, 2025 morning.
