PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) said a suspect has been arrested in connection with the death of a man found dead in a shallow grave in 2022.

PCSO said 43-year-old Leon Pantoya was arrested on a first-degree murder warrant for the death of 39-year-old Steven Robinson. Deputies said Pantoya was also arrested for identity theft and theft.

On September 25, 2022, deputies said a property owner reported finding possible human remains in a shallow grave in a field in the 3500 block of 36th Lane.

Forensic analysis reportedly determined that the remains were human, and an autopsy determined that the victim suffered blunt force and sharp force trauma, leading the manner of death to be ruled a homicide.
