LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

St. X and Trinity went head to head in the annual rivalry game at L&N Stadium Friday night.

Trinity would get on the board first, but St. X would answer right back, making it 7-7 in the first quarter.

The Rocks would add another two touchdowns before halftime to take a 21-10 lead.

St. X would try to chip away at the Rocks' lead in the second half, but Trinity didn't let up.

The Rocks were able to hold off the Tigers 35-24 to take home the coveted Shillelagh.

Trinity improves to 5-1 on the season, while St. X drops to 3-2.

The Rocks are headed up north next week to take on St. X Cincinnati. St. X is also on the road next Friday, facing off against Boyle County.
