SANTA FE SPRINGS — The search for the St. Paul football team’s first win of the season continues after a 49-8 loss to Servite in a nonleague game on Friday night.
St. Paul coach Mike Moschetti was brutally honest about his team’s execution vs. the Friars.
“We got a long way to go. We gotta start from square one on Monday,” Moschetti said. “Offensively, we’re struggling in pass protection, we’re struggling throwing it, we’re struggling running the ball. We’re undisciplined.”
Marley Luatua scored the St. Paul’s lone touchdown of the game. The junior running back finished with a team-high 26 rushing yards.
Despite coming into the game as the big underdog, the Swordsmen came out swinging vs. the Friars. Both teams quickly exchanged punts on their opening drives.
