Srinagar, KNT : Director Civil Defense and SDRF Kashmir Imtiyaz Hussain has underscored the urgent need for mass awareness campaigns to prepare communities for natural disasters, warning that the region’s vulnerability to floods and earthquakes demands a systematic response.

Speaking during a three-day training programme on disaster management, Imtiyaz Hussain, as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust s aid that while advanced countries succeed in reducing casualties and property damage through widespread awareness and scientific planning, Kashmir still lags behind.
