The Ministry of Railways inaugurated the Amrit Bharat Express connecting Berhampur in Odisha with Udhna in Surat district of Gujarat. The train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, alongside the unveiling of additional railway projects across Odisha, including a five-kilometre flyover in Sambalpur.

The weekly Amrit Bharat Express, designated Train Nos. 19021/19022, will operate from Udhna to Berhampur every Sunday starting October 5, and from Berhampur to Udhna every Monday starting October 6.

The train covers a distance of 1,708 kilometres, linking key cities and districts across five states of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.
