Amritsar: Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Parminder Singh, alias Pindi, was extradited from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday. He is wanted in connection with several crimes in Punjab.

According to the police, Pindi is an aide of terrorists Harwinder Singh Rinda and Happy Passia. Both of them are based abroad. The BKI, a banned outfit, is a pro-Khalistan group with links to several crime syndicates and Islamist terror outfits in Pakistan. ADVERTISEMENT

The group has been involved in smuggling of weapons and narcotics into Punjab from Pakistan in a bid to run a criminal network, involved in extortion and the revival of terrorism in the state.
