(NEXSTAR) -- Following the indictment of former FBI director James Comey, President Trump and the Justice Department have said other political foes may also be charged. Just last weekend, Trump called on Attorney General Pam Bondi to prosecute Comey, in addition to California Sen. Adam Schiff and New York AG Letitia James.
Trump says he hopes more people are indicted, saying he thinks they weaponized the Justice Department and believes they are "corrupt."
"It's about justice. It's not revenge, it's about justice," said Trump.
Comey faces charges of making false statements to Congress and obstruction of congressional proceeding. According to the indictment, the charges stem from a September 2020 appearance before a Senate panel discussing the FBI's investigation into Russian interference
