Brisbane star midfielder Josh Dunkley has revealed he played in the 2025 AFL grand final with a significant ankle injury suffered last weekend.
It was known that the star on-baller was carrying some sort of ankle injury into the game, but he has now said it is a grade three syndesmosis injury.

Despite this, he still had 16 disposals, laid five tackles and won three clearances for the Lions in their 47-point win over Geelong .
He plays a tough defensive role in Brisbane's midfield, lining up on Patrick Dangerfield and Bailey Smith at stages of the game in order to negate their influence.
