Indians and their civic sense, or the lack of it, have long been debated. From overcrowded trains to roadside littering and road rage incidents, such stories have become all too common. Recently, another incident caught on social media has added to the conversation, this time from the Wagah-Attari border.

A video going viral on Instagram shows a Russian woman tourist capturing an elderly man littering at the site. He is seen sitting in the stands next to the tourist, eating an ice cream cone, and then throwing the wrapper under someone else’s seat. The video then shifts focus to the tourist, who is seen shaking her head in disbelief.

The clip, uploaded on Instagram by Jist News, has reignited the debate around civic sense in public spaces.
