As part of their Strategic Vision 2030 initiative, Oakland University has named Chris Foley Pilsner to the newly created position of university chief marketing and communications officer.

“I hope you will join me in welcoming Chris and supporting her efforts to advance Oakland in every way possible,” OU President Ora Hirsch Pescovitz.

Foley Pilsner comes to OU from University of Massachusetts Amherst where she was executive director of relationship management and digital experience.

In both roles, Foley Pilsner led enterprise-wide strategies that integrate marketing, technology and cross-functional governance to advance student success and strengthen institutional reputation.

“Oakland’s student-centered mission and deep commitment to community are truly inspiring,” Foley Pilsner said.
