Gurugram: How do you clean a city that’s already clean? By first making it dirty. And that’s what Chandigarh Municipal Corporation workers did, ahead of a sanitation drive by Union Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s in the sector 22 market. The corporation has now ordered an investigation.

Soon after the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign in Chandigarh on 25 September, the birth anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Khattar posted pictures of himself on X, sweeping the market with a broom, wearing a mask.

The X post by the Office of Manohar Lal and reposted by Khattar from his personal handle on September 25, reads, “Shri @mlkhattar, Hon’ble Union Minister, joined citizens at Sector 22, Chandigarh for the ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ initiative”. Show Full Article
