New Delhi, Sept 27: BSNL has announced the launch of the Bharat Telecom Stack, an indigenous ‘Swadesh 4G Network’ aimed at connecting over 26,700 villages with high-speed internet for the first time.
Developed in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), C-DOT, and Tejas Networks, this initiative marks India as the fifth nation to establish a self-reliant telecom technology stack.
The network will provide affordable 4G data access to over 2.2 crore citizens, enabling services such as digital learning and telemedicine, in alignment with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a digitally connected India.
This deployment demonstrates India’s commitment to enhancing its digital infrastructure and self-sustainability in the telecom sector.
