Every year, more than 40 law enforcement agencies visit the 600-acre Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Training Center to hone their firearm skills in a secluded forest area.
The training center features a handgun range, a rifle range, an area to practice firing through a vehicle windshield and a building where officers can practice real-life scenarios without lethal ammunition. Law enforcement officers can also use the wooded area to practice tracking and K-9 skills.
