SRINAGAR: Leh town in Ladakh witnessed the first relaxation of curfew on Saturday, three days after restrictions were imposed following widespread violence that left four dead and 90 injured. Police and paramilitary forces intensified patrolling and checks from early morning to ensure law and order during the relaxation period, officials said, adding that no untoward incidents were reported. Director General of Police, Ladakh, S D Singh Jamwal, confirmed the curfew was relaxed for a total of four hours: from 1 PM to 3 PM in old city areas and from 3.30 PM to 5.30 PM in new areas.
