NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans police are investigating two separate homicides and a shooting early Saturday that left one man dead and another wounded.

Police said officers responded to a call at 12:47 a.m. in the 1800 block of Hollygrove in the Second District. An adult male was found dead at the scene. NOPD initially reported that it was a shooting, but after further investigation, detectives determined the man was killed by "blunt force trauma wounds, not gunshot wounds."

In a separate incident, police said an adult male was shot at least once in the body at the intersection of North Dorgenois Street and Elysian Fields Avenue.
